Scholarship Mission and Information
At Wesley Preschool, our mission is to provide as many families as possible with a high-quality preschool experience while remaining thoughtful and responsible stewards of our resources. Each budget decision is made with careful consideration and prayer as we determine tuition and fees.
We strive to encourage—not hinder—families in their desire to provide a meaningful preschool experience for their children, regardless of financial circumstances. Because we recognize that financial situations vary widely, we do not require detailed financial disclosures. Instead, we ask families to thoughtfully consider what they are able to contribute, with a goal of families covering at least 50% of their monthly tuition.
Our scholarship program is largely funded through our annual February fundraiser, but donations are gratefully accepted year-round. As a registered 501c3 organization, these donations are tax-deductible.
Once the preschool board has approved the scholarship amount for the term beginning in August, scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage families to apply for financial assistance early during the registration process. While most scholarship funds are distributed at the beginning of the school year, families experiencing financial need are welcome to apply at any time throughout the year.
Families who receive scholarships are invited—but not required—to contribute approximately 10 hours of service to the school each year. These opportunities are also open and advertised to all families; participation is not an indication of scholarship status. All scholarship applications are kept strictly confidential.
Volunteer Opportunities May Include:
• Assisting with quarterly deep cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms
• Laundering costumes or classroom materials at home
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation (cutting materials, organizing projects, etc.)
• Repairing toys, books, or classroom items (materials provided)
• Helping staff with classroom organization
• Supporting enrichment activities such as music, art, science, or cultural experiences
Only families who have registered for the current year term and paid the registration fee are eligible to apply for scholarship funds.
