Throughout this time of the COVID-19 pandemic we are offering multiple opportunities to gather together virtually.  Below is a list of the various online opportunities to connect spiritually and communally throughout the week via Zoom.  If you have any questions about Zoom or our opportunities please email Pastor Shane.  Click the join or watch link below to Check out the offerings!
How to use Zoom
Zoom is a video conferencing program that will allow you to connect with 1 to 500 people at a time using computers, tablets, smartphones, and telephones.  This guide is meant to help you get Zoom set up. The good news is - it is very easy!
Stream on a Computer/Tablet/Mobile Device
                How to Join:
  • Click the Zoom link under “Online ministry” on the website or in the email you received from the church.
                Download Zoom:
  • If you don’t already have Zoom on your device, a screen will come up with the option to download—click “download here.”  This is the recommended way so you can quickly join next time.
  • If you cannot download or run the application click “join from your browser.”
                Login:
  • You may be prompted to enter your name and/or email so you can join the meeting.
                Select Audio Option:
  • Choose one of the audio options: computer audio or phone call.  Computer audio is recommended so you can watch/listen on the same device.  Phone call audio can be used if you just want to listen in or don’t have audio on the device you are using to watch.
                Show/Hide Video & Mute Audio:
  • In the lower left of the window are two buttons: “Stop Video/Start Video” and “Mute/Unmute.”
  • You can click those if you cannot see yourself or if you need to mute/unmute yourself.
Call In (Audio Only)
  • Dial the number on the under “Online ministry” on the website or in the email you received from the church.
  • You will be asked to enter the meeting ID which will be under “Online ministry” on the website or in the email you received from the church.

Sunday Fellowship
You can watch online worship on our YouTube Channel Wesley UMC of Yakima.  Together we will worship through music, scripture and prayer.

Evening Vespers

Virtual Coffee Hour
Now that our days are shorter and colder, and the desire to hunker down in the warmth of our homes increases, this is the perfect time to reintroduce evening vespers. Once again, Rev. Mary Huycke encourages us to set aside an intentional time to stop, breath, and focus on what's important. Starting on November 4 and continuing each Wednesday, Mary will lead a 15-minute vespers service at 5:30 p.m. and help us make time to stop, breathe, and connect with God. Please note the service begins promptly at 5:30 p.m.

Pastor Shane hosts an online video study every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.  We use Zoom as our platform and the link for the calls are below.  Each class will be exploring a different topic.
Each class will be using the small group study from BibleProject.com.  Each week will explore a different topic and scripture.  We will watch the video together and then discuss.  If you have any questions, let Pastor Shane know.
